Clay Burns

Clay Burns is a Managing Director on Nuveen’s private fixed income team. He partners closely with the investment professionals to provide ongoing support to our clients, including support related to operational and reporting matters.

Prior to his current role, Clay was a Director within TIAA’s investment accounting group leading several investment accounting teams and serving as a member of various oversight committees. Prior to joining TIAA in 2012, Clay was a Senior Manager in the audit practice at KPMG LLP focused on global banking, investment management and private equity clients.

Clay graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
