Malcolm Hirsch

Malcolm is Director, Portfolio Manager, of the U.S. Strategic Alternatives Strategy and U.S. Strategic Self-Storage Strategy. Malcolm is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management including property diligence, financial modeling, capital fundraising, and providing research and insights for the alternative real estate property types. He has nine years of experience working in various capacities in the Financial Services industry.

Malcolm joined Nuveen Real Estate in 2018 as part of the portfolio management team.

Prior to joining Nuveen Real Estate, Malcolm served as a Product Development Analyst on the Closed-End Fund team at Nuveen Investments, the investment management arm of TIAA-CREF and parent company of Nuveen Real Estate. While at Nuveen, Malcolm was involved in all stages of new closed-end fund development, from idea generation to product launch.

Malcolm graduated in 2016 achieving a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Financial Economics from Vanderbilt University with a concentration in Latin American Studies. He holds the FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations.
